Architecture Sketches!!!
Reading through ARCH DAILY's article on the Dallas Cowboy Stadium (designed by HKS), I discovered that the original sketches for the stadium were posted!
Architecture ideas tend to lose their quality after several re-designs in drawings and renders. The initial sketch captures the pure thought of the designer and serves as the base for the concept to mature into a viable product.
Have you ever seen a Frank Gehry or Le Corbusier sketch? Those drawings are a-mazing in their own minimalistic way. When the drawing is uploaded into a computer, the human feel tends be lost in all the layers and dimensions.
Read the article and pay close attention to how HKS (HKS Sports + Entertainment Group) preserves their sketch ideas into the actual building.
